Fatwood – Part 2: Matchstick Tinder Box
DIY, Family, Fire January 26th, 2010There are tons and tons of fire starters out there that you can use but none quite as good as fatwood. It’s long burn time, natural waterproofing and easy availability (at least in the southeastern US) make it the ideal fire starter. Put together a simple tinder box and you are set.
By the way, this is my first video if you hadn’t noticed.

Chris-
Great first video–nice opening, clean editing, and concise explanation. This is a very interesting fire-starting technique and I will give it a try for sure!

Great idea, I’ll try making some fatwood matches. Good post.

Chris –
You've got some great products here. How does one go about ordering any of them? I'm having some issues with your website, and I can't find a link to your e-mail.
I am looking forward to hearing from you,
Brian

Brian, Use the Link to the Shop that is in the green bar under the title. There is an email link in the Stay Connected section of the left hand menu. Thanks.
